Best alternative brake pads for old Skyway Tuffs
delbert:
Good afternoon
I am looking for some brake pads for use on my old Black Tuff wheels and it is clear these are out of scope of my funds, therefor I am desperately seeking (Susan) errr I mean some modern alternatives.
I have seen both on here and elsewhere that Koolstops are a great choice but am undecided on the models to choose because of the compound issues so was hoping to gage your expert opinion.
The brakes I am using are as follows.
Rear - Dia-Compe XCE center pull caliper, this looks like it will accept normal threaded pads.
Front - inverted Diacompe 901
I would really appreciate any replies with suggestions for what brake pads to use on my old black Skyway Tuffs?
Regards
Simon.
