my latest early mongoose find

My Supergoose is a May 81 too. No "T" and flattened seat stay. Has the 3 holes in the brake bridge too. 
Nice score either way.
Oh and anyone looking for Tuff 1"s try aussie ebay. We always have them.   :daumenhoch:

ammaco ran that frame till 1984 and called it the silver star it
     came in chrome but with none of the cool parts that one has.

The ammaco made frames such as the "mongoose wire wheel" were a bit different to this one - different welds, slightly different dropouts etc. Oh and different forks too.  ;)

Not sure on the silver star but it deffo had different forks :)

the build so far







ive used as many standard parts as poss,dans done an amaizing job removeing the chrome them adding the candy blue. the mongoose crank is away getting chromed and ive a set of dia-compe 1020's on way with some pre bent levers. the only part im having trouble finding is the wierd freewheel for the rear steel hubbed tuff

tuffs will have to be dyed next while i try a source a freewheel from the states
