Plastic welding

Ok over to you pros that work with plastic.
Is there anything I can do to weld my plastic number plate.
Well over the past 25 years it went kinda brittle and my plate keeper tried to bend the top straps around and they snapped.
Its like the Haro circuit board at the top.
Can it be plastic welded or a hot glue gun type thing used?

Sure it may go in another place but if I heat the plastic when bending it may help?

I guess I am thinking about the repairs done to car bumpers and motorcycle plastics.

Cheers

would glue not do the job

DY85262:
I doubt it. the force needed to bend that plastic will result in that seperating. Maybe a hot glue would do the trick. But again I am dubious. I have heard of welding and wondered if anyone had tried it out of teh BMX world we live in  :)
Good morning to Poole for me today. I do miss it being all the way up in Scotland  :)

neiljonarcus:
what about buying a new one
