shimano coaster hub help

i am needing some help ive got a hub a shimano o type 36h i am getting stove enamelled
but i dont no proper way to strip it down with out doing it the proper way ,also it has fat spockes
it came of z rims but new rims have standard holes is drilling it out ok or thinner spokes
