inner brake cable
(1/1)
Gish:
just wondering whats best for inner brake cable when threading through outer cable to prevent friction. is it grease or oil ? as i will be using this on a pitbull brake caliper :-\
Bettyswallocks:
Bit of grease wiped on the inner before you thread it through
And if its for a rider use a linear cable, the outer cable wont compress like an old one will... :daumenhoch:
Gish:
is a linear cable the outer cable with plastic inside it :-\
HEYWOOD BMX:
:) Linear cable housing is straight whereas regular cables are coiled.A lot of cables these days are also slic type-they have a teflon impregnated plastic tube for the inner wire to pass through...
subversion:
stick to a lighter, thinner grease & you can always put some oil down the outer first too...
