Removing powder..........
bobafett:
I know it's been discussed on here a few times and I've had a flick through the old threads but I've got a chainwheel that's been powdered that I want to strip.
Taking it to a specialised place for blasting or dipping seems extreme for a measley little chainwheel so just wondiring what products out there people have had success with - especially with it being a small item - easy to fully submerse so wouldn't need much of whatever is to be used :-\
One of the threads mentioned heat ? I have a blow tourch but I'm wondering if the chainwheel is still chrome underneath (which I'm hoping it is) will the heat scorch and discolour the chrome ? :-\
Any suggestions ???
