stripping chrome
wildon:
Picked up my stuff from the chromers today. I asked them to polish a couple of stems for me and when i got there they had been chromed... was quite happy about it till i got them home and found out they also chromed the shafts and now they wont fit inside my forks :crazy2:
Thing is i've been back and forward to the fookin chromers enough times in the past 6 weeks and i really dont wanna go back.
Is there anything i can do to remove the chrome from the shaft or have i really been shafted and do i have to take another trip back? ???
fouronethreeoh!:
Sand it back, emery paper, wet and dry, scotchbrite.
