nice one weeksy, its a question that crops up over and over again about a decent chromers. maybes have a word with your mate and he could start a thread like custom colour has? might cost him a few quid to advertise but he would make a fair deal i should imagine. It would be great to have a decent chromer attached to the site and if he got a price list up peeps could have this as great reference in factoring re chroming costs etc into their builds

another thing that would be good is chrome removal, so that parts can be then polished etc

just an idea  ;)

Dave,

Do you know what, I mentioned that to him last night fella when he showed me the prep he has done on my cruiser frame and forks, but I think he is just too busy to do that, with a massive workload, and a young family, although he is more than happy to bring these priceless pieces back to life.

He seemed quite keen to be affiliated with this site, as like I said earlier, he was a TA rider  back in the day.

Maybe I could do so on his behalf - I can honestly say he really does deserve the trade that this site would give him, or we can let my XL24 do the talking?!

From the stuff he has done for me I know:
100 quid for frame
25 quid for forks
40 quid for 400 series flight cranks
25 quid for bars
10 quid for a post.

All parts are chemically stripped, and polished CONSIDERATELY and all stampings / markings are done extremely lightly

I can investigate further for prices should the interest be there.. Lots of crappy/ average chromers out there..maybe this could help a few peeps with their price and joys?

He obviously does chrome stripping / removal, (I believe he now does it for SBD) a price example of which would be Crooch's XL24, that he charged 20 quid for. Forks are a tenner.

Let me know what you think fellas
