Best way to remove Shimano DX seatpost decals

As above wanna remove some scruffy decals on a dx seatpost and replace with some new from del, whats best way to remove em, seem to be scratching the post a bit at the mo :idiot2:

a heat gun usually loosens the glue enough for them to come off..
