How to get out of a fook up SBD style
superbikedan:
thought i'd show you these pics after powder coating brettypeeps haro
master and getting the forks wrong :-[ totally my fault as i concentrated on the
frame where it should be masked and forgot about the forks, so the problem was
the greens a special powder and is bought in from the states and i had none left so
how the fook do i get out of this,
first off mask the line where the should have been painted to and dab some strong
paint stripper on very close to the mask line
next wipe off the powder with a soft rag as to not damage the chrome
next step, with a sharp craft knife, cut the line in the paint and slowly scrape the last bit
of powder up to the line, half done
and now the finished look, happy days :)
meticulous:
that was a lucky call, because sometimes just the vapours from the stripper can soak into the powder and slowly creep up the forks..... ;)
