Mushroom grips can they be dyed

as above, when they are mixed colours like blue and white for example, is there a way you could dye the blue part still leaving the white ends of the grips?

I know they can be dyed a solid colour but I dont think you will be able to do the 2 colour grips unless the blue sleeve can be removed ???
