Old school skyway sprocket - how do I get it off?

<< < (5/7) > >>

fischflo:
Say, you did not take that freewheel thing, that Moose's picture shows, apart? ...you managed to get that off in its entirety, right?

Plinth Adenoid:
:LolLolLolLol: Your a gent Moose, I will owe you several pints when I've finished this bike :)

I've put mine back together to show the lack of removal tool slots, I have to destroy the freewheel to get it off, a la the second link you sent.

Thanks for the chisel recommendation but won't be taking a chisel to my tuff II's :)

fischflo:
aha,  destructive removal LOL

stepp 7. "Dispose of the freewheel parts and install a new one. "2    :LolLolLolLol:

Moose:
Then Phil was right from the off  :daumenhoch:

--- Quote from: sawzall on July 17, 2010, 08:31 PM ---try clamping it in a vice and use wheel to turn it,if that fails the only other way is
to get some 5mm plate and carefully weld it on to the remaining
freewheel then unscrew while still hot and it should come off easily ;)

sawzall:
now you have it back together this is the best way to remove it,tack weld a piece
of bar across freewheel making sure it won't turn, then use bar as lever and freewheel will come off,
do it while it's still hot as this will help it  ;)
