Landing Gear fork colour question
ED209:
I've got a set of bare metal unstamped Landing Gear forks that I need to sell on as my project ideas have changed from old to mid school :angel:
I'm getting them painted and I have some gold decals from Alans... but I can't decide if they should be painted black or white?
Is there a set or historical colour that should be used with the gold decals?
TIA :daumenhoch:
brummie:
if they are being sold on here you could stick them up as painted any colour the buyer wants? might get them shifted quicker?? black would look the best with the gold decals but you could always sell the decals seperately ( the gold look great on the cornflower blue ones )

Cheers Brummie - I was gonna go black with the gold - is the cornflower blue a standard colour to source?

brass monkey!:
if you plan to sell them i ageree with the others, leave em raw so you have a wider audience to sell em to...
back to your original Q;
stock LG's came in Baby Blue, Candy Red, White, or SE Tan with gold decals. Also dark SE Blue, Brown and of course Chrome were other stock colours BITD :daumenhoch:
How much do you want for them raw Ed? I may be interested...? :)
