You don't have to use the potts, so you could leave the front brake as it is or you can do it like this.........
This way you will only loose the adjuster, so you can put it back as it was if you want after, just get another adjuster :coolsmiley:

I finally made a decision, as I picked up a yellow forklifter, so I guess it has already been painted as I don't think they shipped in yellow.
I'm going to strip it and see what the finish is like underneath, if it's good I'll polish it up, if poor then off to SBD with the bars.

BTW Forklifters were available in yellow. :daumenhoch:
