Back on the DP Ni-Bronze colour mission :-)

Well its been almost at a year since young Dan of SUPERBIKE fame did a great job on a 'tribute' colour for my Ltd. Ed. DP but seeing as some 'n o b on' didn't put the forks in the package, and my Brother-in-law ( whos bike it was in the 80s ) looked at it and said 'its not dark enough' AND I wanted a frame / fork /bars combo in the same colour ... ( pause for breath ) then its time to have another go.

Following on from Firebird Steves thread of a while back where he was looking at a dark bronze used on a BMW I found a thread of 'car folk' bronzing their alloy wheels and it mentioned 'BMW Sepang Bronze (Paint Code: A32)' which looked rather peachy.

Having seen Steves original unrestored Ltd Ed. at the RADBMX London ride I new I could get mine better, and side by side, the wheel colour and Steves bike look pretty similar.

So I'm about to send frame, forks, bars and a layback to SupaSupaSupaBikeDan so he can work his magic on them.

To put a little twist on it I'm talking Dan into trying the original Pewter tinted laquer over the top of the BMDub bronze to see what happens ...

Exciting times  :D
