tech 77's on love handles?

i have some hoffman love handles and cant get any of my tech 77 levers on them as the bars are too thick....

im sure when i was younger back in day i had tech 77's on a pair of love handles???  am i imagining things or did they do tech 77's in oversize?

is it a lost cause trying to mod the tech77's to fit or should i give up and look for different levers

also any suggestions for levers    that will fit love handles

The oversized Love Handles originally used Tech 97's, those Tech 99's fit perfect without the shim as well  :daumenhoch:
