fitting stickers
kev-s:
any tips?
my frame is at the powdercoaters and i have a new sticker set for when it comes back
the main thing is the downtube sticker is all in one and wraps around the downtube and i dont wanna mess it up and get creases/wonky/air bubbles etc...
brummie:
have a hairdryer at the ready and when doing this type of sticker i try and just stick down the very middle of the sticker on the down tube first ( literally just about 5mm straight down the middle of it ) you can then see if it is central and far les chance of air bubbles plus you can move it a lot easier if you aint happy. then work your way from the inside out each side at a time
hope that makes sense as works for me. if you do c0ck it up give a gentle heat with the dryer before trying to pull it off as you could pull powder with it ( also something i have done :( ) but be careful not to stretch it as the heat also softens the sticker
good luck

I use a 5 to 10% fairy liquid solution in a bowl and run the sticker through it.
This allows the sticker to slide to where you want it.
I then use a soft dry cloths th squeeze the solution out and It has never gone wrong for me yet :daumenhoch:
There is another method along the same Idea which is to put the soap solution on the frame, but I have not done this foe feaar of a dry spot and the sticker getting damaged :uglystupid2:

As mentioned above, and once you have done it you will wonder what all the fuss was about :daumenhoch:

I use a little spray of windowlean
Never failed
As above you can still move the decal around
Then wipe over to get rid of the solution
But remember to hold the decal as you wipe so it doesn't move
