What Toolkit?

Guys,

Looking to buy a toolkit, building my first BMX (hopefully the first of many)............

This any good?

I would  go to BnQ or robert dyas and buy some adjustable spanners , a set of metric spanners and a couple of screw drivers and allen keys , the tools in that kit are OK but are you going to use them all  to build a bike , then when you need something like a freewheel remover buy it then, this will be cheaper and you only end up buying what you need ,

if you want to get a link extractor and a headset spanner now they would be most usefull , but some of the stuff in that kit will be awaste

most bike shops will sell that lot seperatly , and prob be cheaper

you will build up a tool box that is usefull for other things as well , not just bikes

You also need a variable torque persuader (i.e. hammer) - the bigger the better I alway find  :daumenhoch:

I've got one of these and its never let me down .

Got chain tool spoke key etc

What you need to start.

allen key set

hammer

block of timber

spanners

big adjustable pipe wrench

Pliers

couple of screw drivers

another hammer.


And most importantly:

Deck of fags.

crate of beer.
