Threaders:
Thanks antiquebmx, I have seen that thread, but will study it more closely tomorrow when I start. I have also seen some good info on troubleshooters.com (there is a link on the sheldon brown website). I also found this pic which makes things a bit clearer.

I will post up tomorrow and let you know how I get on. Thanks, Jonathan

meticulous:
sounds like someone before you may have stripped it and not put it back right, its dead easy after you have done a couple and really can only go back one way,it should at least be able to turn a bit with out the brake arm moving, if not my bet its not been built right.... ;)

Threaders:
Right. Of downstairs to the kithchen. Have cleaned the wheel, got the grease and it is now ready for dissasembaly. Will keep you posted. Thanks everyone.

Threaders:
Ok. Maybe I am speaking to soon, but I have taken it apart and cleaned /  regreased and it didnt seem to be to bad a job at all
I had to take it apart from the brake arm side as the sprocket nut would only undo to a certain point and everything seemes to be there.

I followed the link given on this thread to the bmx museum on reassembly and all seems to have gone smoothly. After putting back together, I can now hold the brake arm still and rotate the wheel. I can also hold the wheel still and rotate the axle. I can only move the freewheel half a turn each way. Is this normal?? I lossened it of a little after tightening it finger tight as stated in the thread. I havent a chainstay clamp yet so cant test it out. But if you guys have any other suggestions or advice on this let me know. Here are pics of Build and finished wheel

Thanks to antique bmx. Marty C and meticulous for getting back to me on this your advice and time have been much appreciated. Cheers.

antiquebmx:
looking good do like these red tuffs I had a set but sold em  :buck2:

yeah I would just try it out, as it will prob be different when actually riding than just holding the wheel

then you can adjust as you feel
