Mongoose dimentions ? ??

(1/2) > >>

Not sure if anyone will be able to answer this for me, but does anyone have the frame dimensions of a 79/80 nickel goose (mongoose pro or what ever their 'real' name was) ?

reason being is that this was by far my most favourite frame BITD with a set of tange forks with a direct drop out, so i was going to look at working out what frame i can get now that will be some where close to those dimensions + a tiny bit to allow for my added height, i rode a '90 shredder and to be honest it was too long and i couldn't get to grips with it, so i dont want to make the same mistake. :daumenhoch:

bump ?
there are people on here with loads of 'gooses, please find a tape measure and measure the length of the top tube, height of the seat tube (12" ?) and from the crank to the rear drop out

Pretty please. :smitten:

Hootski70:
All measurements taken from centre of bottom bracket to the centre of the head tube , top tube 18.5 inch , down tube 20 '' , seat tube (to top ) 11.25'' rear bottom tube to end of drop out 16'' rear top tube from centre of seat post to end of drop out 17.5 '' . These are taken from my 1980 team mongoose .  hope this helps .

I do have a couple of 80's geese that i would part with if you want to relive your youth . Cheers Simon .

Thank you very much....

Can you PM Me details of what you have for sale, could be the easiest way ?

Hootski70:
Jon , would you be interested in a 1980 nickle mongoose motomag frame with nickle tange forks like you had bitd . Let me know what bits you rode with as i have a large collection . My brother ( Spen 69 on here )and i have helped a few people  to build replica's of bikes they had back in the day , we even managed to reunite      Peter J with his actual Ammaco team sprint F+F ( his first bmx  ) which gained us a very good friend . Its a small world and radbmx is considered to be the core of UK old school bmx , you will find you make many a good friend and will have an exspensive but great time on the way . No matter what come to MK11 next year and find the fix it tent on the helipad , open 24 hours  for bikes burgers and booze .  :daumenhoch: :)
