Most people would agree with this.
Why not build it as it is and stay on the lookout for a dog-rough example to have powdered at a later date?
Nowt stopping you tansferring all the bits to the powdered one when it is done and passing the NOS one on to someone who wants a NOS grey frame...

Ok tonight I've partially set it up using some parts from another build I'm doing, still not 100% on the colour but I think if the forks and bars where black it could look good. ;)
Not the best pic but only done quickly....
