78 Robinson has arrived .. seat help needed
In2 bmx:
Well The little thing arrived this week and is already in the good hands of SBD :daumenhoch:..
Here are a few photos of the condition she was in ..
I also bought the seat from the same guy i bought the f+f Off , he threw in the original seat post and excaliber clamp that was on this bike in 78 .. :)
I dont really want to remove the JT decal as its been on for probably 30 years and the seat is in pretty good shape and dated 05 78 but not sure what make it is :-\.
Has anyone ever used a substance or coating to bring the seat back to life a little bit .. without removing the decal ? Or should i just leave it ?
And there is a nut at the end ( but i can't get a spanner in ) >:( that i thought would make it easy to remove the bars so i could bring them back to life :) how can i get the fcukers out ???

Pretty much all the rust will be gone then. Mix 1 part with 9 parts water. Any stubborn stuff can be scraped off. :daumenhoch:
