oldtired:
not the y front type :LolLolLolLol:,
so, stem wedges the cast iron type there shite :tickedoff: :tickedoff: , had one strip out today first time out on the new ride ,
i fixed it the way we used to bitd by badly welding :D a couple m8 nuts to it so it'll last for now , anyone know if you can get a steel version ?
rooski:
what stem is it for ???
oldtired:
cheap generic Kalin i think , i probably over tightened it, fookin popeye arms :LolLolLolLol: , i made a load bitd in metalwork at school but used em up over the years
rooski:
looks like the sr type, may be able to make a steel one for ya :daumenhoch:
oldtired:
that be cool :daumenhoch: nothing tricky about em but i haven't got access to a machine shop so its a pain doing em by hand, like everything else takes five mins with the right gear, often thought about investing in a little bench top lathe, there's been loads o stuff i've had over the years where i've thought i'm sure i could make one that'll last a lot longer , become my own rider owned company ;D, the problem with these cast ones is there has never been enough thread on em ' if you tap em out to 10 mm they still give out, the steel ones i knocked up outlasted, the stems, like the Tuf Neck wedges this is the same one but of another stem i want to keep intact
