Whats the best way to clean a pair of Motomags?

they are cast alloy i believe .this means to me wet and dry from rough to mega mega couse then loads a polishing the more you polish the more they shine .takes long time though i spent 4 hours on  mongoose pro class rim .

Wet/dry sandpaper, the kind you get from B&Q? If so won't that damage the finish at all?

I restored a set a few years back using car alloy wheel cleaner . . . brush it on, leave it about 10 mins then wash it off

It worked really well and they polished up a treat without the need to use abrasives
