dp Firebird freestyler gl+ What do i do?

I got my dp firebird gl+ out of my dads garage the other day.  It used to be neon pink but then had it chromed in the mid 80s.  Its got the dp ladder bars, acs mini mountain brake levers, mx1000 calipers, sugino one piece crank, black tuff twos, elina lay back post and akron seat.  Its a real shame to part with my much loved bike along with its many memories!!!!  Problem is the frame and forks, ive cleaned them up but the chrome is pitted in places. So what do i do?  Do i get it blasted and rechromed or powder coated or is that somthing a buyer would prefer to do themselves? I dont know.... any ideas?

Even if you break it down into individual parts and sell them like that
You should get some interest in the Bars  :D thats for sure
