Another cracker churned off the Bobafett Production line  :smitten:
How many more you got to go now John?

Cheers Al,

There's a good few frames still in the loft like :LolLolLolLol:

got 99% of the bits for most of the other gaggle of frames I have - bit of resto needed on them mind.

There's only 4 frames left on my buying list to complete "the full line up" of frames as I personally see it at this point - but not in a rush for them ;)

really nice jon, whats the crack with the m1,is it the usa version of the grand prix? ???

--- End quote ---

Cheers Mark, yeah I guess in some ways the M1 is the USA version of the Grand Prix as they were both the entry level frames for their respective markets and shared a similar components spec. The grand prix was available a bit earlier than the M1 though and I think the M1 may have been available in the UK in the later 80's (say 87 or so)
Completely different frames though, different dropouts, geometry etc. Also, the grand prix is a bubble welded chr-mo main frame made for Ammaco and the M1 is an all tubes Hi-Ten heliarc welded frame made by Merida (who also made the cali's and experts etc. at this time) for BMX Products.

Reallly nice that  :daumenhoch:  I've got one of these lurking in the garage but its the  orrible lime green colour - I thought they were all this colour.... :idiot2:

Thanks, yeah they were available in chrome or white originally. Think the funky green frames came in around late 86 / early 87 and you could choose to have skyway 6 spoke OEM wheels or steel pro-class on them  :daumenhoch:
