Lucky eBay MT Racing 'Fox' find..........

(1/5) > >>

Macmania:
OK, so there I was Christmas last year just having a browse at the BMX listings on eBay (as you do) when something caught my eye.
The bike was described as a unknown BMX and had a couple of poorly taken photo's. But..........as soon as I saw the serial number I knew it was an MT of some description.

After receiving a couple more photo's of the dropouts etc I was 100% confident I knew what it was.

Anyway...........she's a 1984 MT Racing "The Fox" (Model TA). Back in 84 these frameset's were available with two different types of rear dropouts and two different styles of forks.

Big thank you to Del for the decals  :4_17_5:  Phil (Sawzall) for straightening the forks  :4_17_5: and to Rads finest for the pad set  :4_17_5:  Thanks guys.

This is how she arrived (note the bent forks)...........

This is how she should look...........

And now fully restored............

This particular one (Hi-Tensile Steel) was pretty much bottom of the range. They did do a very nice full chromo version as well though  :daumenhoch:
