WTF went wrong(dying tuff's)!!!
StellaAtoiz:
Sorry they did not turn out how you had hoped :(
I personally think they look great 8)
Let me know if you decide to sell them rather than re-dying again :daumenhoch:
rick1970:
a couple of hours under a sunbed should do trick :LolLolLolLol: or a quick bleach sesh :coolsmiley:
phantom photon:
As said above too much dye and you left them in waaaay too long :(
When I did a set of yellow tuffs I only used 2 tins of dylon Golden Glow dye and only left them in for 30 minutes.
Before and after
BENDYCAT ELEVENTEEN:
One of my post's from Burnerworld
the gorden ramsay way of dying wheels
take 1 set of OGK's - slightly faded
wash
pick out any dirty bits missed
scrape off any brake marks
bleach
hot water
salt
dye
put in and leave for 24 hours - turning and stiring every so often
cover
take out and wash in cold water - then dry
now ready to serve - i mean ride - DONE (camera changes colour a bit)
cheers B

--- Quote from: BENDYCAT ELEVENTEEN on March 13, 2011, 08:57 PM ---Sorry to say it was the amount of dye used - i only ever say to use two tins for a bright and rich colour
time seemed fine
cover was fine but another blanket would keep more heat in
i don't know about the steamer as i have done my work in the bathroom
one salt bottle would have done i think
did you stir and rotate the mags
but all is not lost
Right you should be able to re- bleach the mags and suck out the colour and be able to start the process again
who's process did you use ? was it mine ?
let me know if you need any help
cheers B ;)

Would you be able to tell me the procedure for bleaching them please ie:what ratio of bleach/water to use.........ta muchly, Buz :daumenhoch:
