(1/4) > >>

StellaAtoiz:
Gents.

I have removed the cap, I have removed the retaining nut......I have soaked it in WD40.......I have hit the fookin thing with a rubber mallet.........why won't my crank arm come off ??? :'(

Am I doing...or not doing something so obviously stupidly wrong? >:(

Thanks for your time :daumenhoch:

Im not 100% sure but you might be able to get a special crank pulling tool (your lbs might have one) that would get that off no probs.

I know they they are available for new cranks but just not sure if they'd work on an os crank like that.

Look something like this,

Good luck! ;)

PHIPPSIO:
Yeah you need an crank arm extraction tool. Think you can get them on ebay or chain reaction. Make sure you get the right size though there are a few that fit different size spindles.

hunterdubber:
Alloy (crank arm) to steel (BB spindle) fuses really easy after time and dampness

Not as bad as  the old alloy seatpost stuck in the steel frame ploy , due to less contact area   ;)

An extractor like Xgoose says would easy do the trick
