Polishing built wheels

<< < (2/3) > >>

Betty:
Ed i've tried it and gave up and took em apart, way easier...  :daumenhoch:

oldtired:
spokes can be rubbed with 00 guage steel wool then finnished of with autosol the rims can be done on a buffer wheel along with the outside of the hub ,    its a real pain doing the spokes this way though ,    you will have to do the inside of the hub and between the spokes on the rim by hand or use a Dremmel type tool with a buffer wheel on it , i've done 1 36 spoke wheel this way once , never again ,   :uglystupid2: :uglystupid2:   to much fookin about and it will be twice as hard with a 48 ,   as everyone says easyest thing is strip it,  takes a couple of hours to strip polish and rebuild a wheel , if its a show bike job done, if its a rider just need to get it trued and tightened up at lbs if you cant do it yourself,  you'll get a better finnish stripping all the parts too

ED209:

Dark Diggler:
Better like that   :daumenhoch:

rollin72:
