It's not Annodise it's a translucent paint they used, paint stripper will do the job.  Caustic will dissolve them from the inside out LOL!

no net yet,but i did on the black ones and it was a very very very very very very slow job,wish id gone for xc11's now,anyone wanna swap :-[

Pay someone else to do it, much easier and much more satisfying knowing you have got a nice shiny set of decent pedals with no tedious hard work, brilliant.
