Another 'What length spokes do I need' question

Need a little help please guys.  I have some Z-48 rims and new hubs that someone is kindly going to lace for me.  I stripped the original wheels and still have a few spokes from that.  I measure the spokes as around 178mm, yet everything I see on eBay etc seem to start at 182mm.  I have the same sized (large flange) hubs to lace to but where do I get 178mm spokes from?
