White Chain
(1/1)
Retrodan72:
Alright Boys, what make/type of white chain do you guys use as i'm thinking of putting one on the Haro. I don't want one of those new school ones where they're totally white and I don't want a Yaban as I got one of those recently and the grease had made the white links turn a creamy Old English white and also some of the white had chipped off.
What do you recommend??
BENDYCAT ELEVENTEEN:
izumi would be best i would have thought ! but with any white chain it will turn dirty as bits of dirt & dust collect in the grease turning it off white - cheaper chain will be made cheaper and not last like you would want
white izumi will be a higher price if you can find one
failing that : take a cloth with you on a ride and every ten pedals, stop and wipe the chain clean and ride on again till ten pedals is up again - repeat process ;D

whatever you do, do NOT get one of those cheap ass KMC 'color' chains. i got a white one the other day and all it was, was a dirty sliver chain that they had casually sprayed white. it's not even fully covered. i aint even used it and half the paint is already chipping off. worst ten buck i ever spent. i think the rest of the 'color' range will prob be all the same. thumbs down...
