Can I dye a Shot gun II saddle

Night Rider:
It's a 1st Generation Shotgun II seat with no stripes dated 5 82. I don't think these were made long at all before they changed to the striped seats. It has no gold left on the sides but the embosing is clear and sharp 'Shot Gun II tm' . It says Ariake, aero, Jaguar 7378, Japan on the bottom. The rails have some seat guts wear. The back of the saddle has a little wear where the bike has been upsidown, I would be willing to polish these out if anyone wanted to swap. I can also re-gold the lettering.

Ideally I want a blue version but would consider a black.

Hi Michael  :D  get yourself a site supporters tag you can then trawl the for sale ,trade , and wanted sections  :daumenhoch: as for your shotgun if its an early one dont dye it will be worth more untouched to someone being 30 year old  :daumenhoch: lets have a few pics too  ;)
