don't use to harsh a grade wet and dry paper as it can some times put more marks into it and then you just have to get them out - elbow grease and time will sort them out - try peek for a mirror finsh (i find it's smoother than autosol)

my pedals were just as bad as yours mark so i started off using grade 120, then 180 & finished off woth grade 240 or do i still need to go finer iwth the grade to get a mirror finish :idiot2:

  i started with a 240,400,800,1200 then 1500 then auto sol,so yes you need to get some finer paper :daumenhoch:
