selfpreservation:
anyone know how easy / costly it would be to polish a stem its alloy and therfore soft

harris:
lightly sand paper wet n dry auto sol and bench mop on a grinder or a dremmel

oberonspacefruit:
its easy.

strip it with nitromors.

pollish it with autosol. maybe peek too. job done. youl be screaming from the shed  to the missus to unbolt every single bit of alloy off the bike.

Rombloke:

polished by my own fair hands, from what could be described as a nasty looking pro neck.
worked thru the grades of wet and dry...400, 600, 800, 1000, 1200....then autosol, then peek, then tcut, finally seal it with a wax polish....i use autoglym cos im posh.
