Dia compe 750 question
(1/1)
Threaders:
Hi. Another question for you knowledgable chaps,
I need a rear cantilever for my mongoose decade build and wondered if there is any difference between the old dia compe 750
and the new 750 available
I have also seen some older 750's by weinmann and other companies, but dont know if these will work. I would get the pink one but its in the states and dont know if the seller will mark it gift yet. (to avoid customs)
Cheers, Jonathan :daumenhoch:
super mat:
the dia compe 750 i had was snapped were the straddle wire connects.i used a raleigh weinman 750 of an old racing bike and it works fine.apart from the dc stampings on the back they are identical.
Munnyella:
unless you are mental, and are paying £40 + for the brake, don't worry about the customs, not enough money.
Gnarlyscoots:
Dude, I just bought a new version of that caliper for my ride for £25 and it's real nice :daumenhoch: Identical to the old school version except for the allen key bolts and date stamp
Totally recommend :coolsmiley: That pink one is way overpriced :-\ I looked at that myself :LolLolLolLol:
Threaders:
Thanks guys, so long as I know a new one will work, ill go for that.,
was tempted by the pink, but that would also mean using other pink parts, when I was intending on a blue and white build :)
cheers, Jonathan :daumenhoch:
