9/16 pedal...whats the Thread pitch?

You won't be able to get m12 x 0.78
It's NOT metric
The 'pitch' is 20 threads per inch (9/16" x 20tpi)

French pedal spindles use M14 x 1.25 (14 mm/0.55 in metric diameter with 1.25 mm or 0.049 in pitch) threads, and thread loosely into a 9/16 pedal hole.

You can also cut the correct threads for pedals on the heli-coil, I have a set of 9/16 pedal taps (left and right tap) that you can use if you need them.
