Yep. They are cheap but very effective. I think most alloy 3 piece cranks have the same thread so you can use just about any crank arm extractor on just about any alloy crank arm.

I'll see if I can get one of them things then - was hoping I'd just be able to put it on with 'standard' tools, like a flight crank  ???

you need a crank puller to get it off.
