costic soda - quick need to use know how !

got a alloy seat post suck in a goose -  it has bonded to the frame and it's snapped off  ::)  i need to melt it out

i have costic soda - but need the best way to use it

do i pour some hot water / boiling water ? down the hole and then add how much of the crystal soda ? or ?

Put some soda in the seat tube then add boiling water , this makes the caustic more vigourous  ;) wear safetly glasses tho . If u add 2 much soda it will just froth up and out the top . Leave the tube full 4 half a day then pour out the mixture of dissolved ally and repeat till its all gone  :daumenhoch: will take a few goes tho  ;)
