Yeh poke a spoke down the inside of the grip and squirt some WD40 in there.
Use WD40 to refit too - it evaporates after a few mins and grips are stuck fast!

Or boil a kettle, fill a pint glass and dunk the grips & bars in. 1min later pull them off and reverse it to get them back on.
Simples ;-)
