Crank tools - Which one do I need
stuartD:
I'm tyring to remove the crank arms from a new school eastern bike so that I can get at the BB. Howver there are no pinch bolts on the crank arms , just the one that screws into the spindle. I know I need a crank removal tool but which one . I believe the cran spindle is one of the mutli spline variety and not an 8 spline .
Any help would be appreciated.
Cheers
Stuart

Stop ....................... Hammer time :daumenhoch:
Peter J:
This is a bit of a "rough" way to do it as there's a chance you could bugger your crank bolt threads up but if your just throwing them away then its ok"ish" to do it this way

A better way is:

Or this:

And here's the tool:

Thanks ,
I'd normally bash the bollocks out of it with a hammer but will purchase the correct tool this time..
Peter J:
Slap a good dollop of WD-40 on it use the socket extention method first
