Stupid pedal question time

I stripped some Odyssey trailmix pedals a few months ago. Got SBD to give them a new colour. About to put them back together and cant remember if the smaller bearings go on the inside or the outside :idiot2:

Worked it out, big balls on the outside :daumenhoch:
Tried big balls on the inside and the spindle wouldn't fit.
