Yellow Tuffs (restoring)

I recently bought a set of yellow tuffs off here, the front looks as though it's be rubbed down all over with very rough grade sand paper (I'll post a photo shortly) there are deep gouges all over, I only paid £55 for the pair so I didn't expect perfection  :2funny: but I was just wondering has anyone on here tried rubbing Tuffs down with gradually finer sand paper? I didn't want to make them worse but I'd like to improve them or at least reduce the gouges.

Any help would be much appreciated

Yes mate, and worth the sore fingers and hassle. I work from 240 to 400 to 600, wet and dry. They'll come out nicely. Re-dye will also inevitably follow  :daumenhoch:

As above, lots of elbow grease and various grades of wet and dry and they'll look like new in no time.

got to agree with all the above.I did a set of Blue Tuffs and i started with a 350 working up to a 1000.A lot of hard work and sore fingers but well worth the effort  :daumenhoch:
