adeshere:
anyone tried using hammerite aerosol smooth paint on a frame ?

Andy68:
Not on a frame but have on my old Triumph Herald suspension. It's got fantastic coverage over rusty, pitted surfaces and leaves a nice gloss finish once you've figured out heavy a coat to spray on. Mega tough too but not sure if it'd be too 'industrial' for a nice frame??  ???  Over to the experts........................

These help too if using a rattle can....................

Here's a mega rusty heater box I transformed with Hammerite spray........

I did my GT mach one in yellow hammerite smooth :)

Came out well. Sprayed directly on to the frame which had been stripped. Had to use alot of coats about 6 plus and the cheapest I could get the paint was 7 pound a tin. I have since found out that my local powdercoaters charge 35 for frame forks and bars, so wont use hammerite again :daumenhoch:

Here is just a pic of the frame when I first did it
