Haro Fusion chainwheel on 2009 Freestyler

<< < (2/4) > >>

sparkysx:
Yeah it is deffo thinner, I was worried about it slopping around on it. Looks like I may need a new chain and free wheel for it, does the free wheel come off easy or do I need a special tool?

Don't need a top hat washer though.

Didn't get any pegs yet, picked up a new front axle today, will order the pegs later.

sparkysx:
What would happen if I just ran it with this chain?

sparkysx:
New problem:-

Don't need a reducing top hat washer, but seem to need a thinner one or something....

Standard Chainwheel:-

Fusion Chainwheel:-

The washer is sub-flush on the standard wheel and proud on the Fusion wheel.

On another note, will I need to take a link out of the chain? as the fusion chainwheel is a 43t rather than 44t

HEYWOOD BMX:
:) 1/8 chains are too big to fit on most 3/32 cogs. You can buy a freewheel removal tool or your LBS will charge a couple of quid.If the tophat is too thick you can just file it down.

sparkysx:
Ok i will file down the th.

Will the chainwheel be in the right line for the sprocket?
