Restoring my 1985 Green master part 2. The alloy hubbed tuffs.
Discostu:
The tuffs on this bike where in a right state. Anyway these had a good old rub down with some Cif. And then a session with the bleach. Here are a couple of pics with one before and one after. :daumenhoch:
They turned out reasonably well but after reading a thread on here about aqua blasting I decided to have mine done.
I must say the results were amazing.
They have since been built up with the original axles and hardwear with lots of new grease. They run super smooth. :)
nos:
Love them!!!
Can i ask where you got them aqua blasted and how much?
Thanks.
Retrodan72:
They look amazing Stu, well done mate. :daumenhoch:
Kaner:
Wow they have come up great, well saved.
BENDYCAT ELEVENTEEN:
I know we talked about the auqa blasting and it's merits over sand/hand finish - they look super sweet and far better than i could do by hand
did they go over the alloy hub or was it rubbed up clean by hand ?
