rollin72:
ive got an axle that needs the ends flatting, ive never done it before, can someone give us a few pointers please

nice1 Gaz :daumenhoch:

Gaz use a bench grinder and take your time. Take the spindle out if possible but I have done a set insitu as it had a captive axle.

You'll be at it for days if you try and file them mate....... ;-(

brettypeeps:
I tighten the wheel up backwards in the drop outs so the axle does not rotate and file away yo two flats,  Simply reverse for other side :daumenhoch:

rollin72:
does it knacker the thread?

Only the bits you file .. Because you still ave the small bearing nut on you can wind it off to clean the threads if need be :daumenhoch:
