Things to look out for refurbing Skyways
« on: March 10, 2012, 10:28 AM »
Guys my Skyway Tuff2's need a tart up and some new bearings, they are original items in Green so can you get sealed bearings for them, if not what sort of size loose bearings do i need?
What;s the best for cleaning them up without wrecking them?
Is there anything i should be looking out for?

6mm loose baring mate, you can buy them off eBay, also Dylon or Rit dye to get the green back.

hot soapy water, scrub like fook!  dishwasher is also a good way of cleaning them.

good spray of WD40 gets the colour back  :daumenhoch:

it may stop the squeaking but thats only because the fookers aint stopping , done it to some red ones and was using tuff pads , had to go os braking foot on back tyre to stop , fooking lethal
