ED209:
I'm seeing the new gold look for RADBMX as a 'sign' to post this up

The story so far... I try and get Classic BMX mag when I can and on the front is this alloy Nomura and its just about the sexiest thing with wheels I have ever seen.

I have no love for race bikes but the way this has been built is just beautiful... mega props to Matt Waldren for a sweet bike.

I'm on a budget for anything BMX, my chances are owning one are zero, I wouldn't even really want to ... but I'd been thinking about having a new look for my daughters Dyno NFX... and thats got a nice fat downtube just like the Nomura...  ::) 8) :) I show the young lady in question my plan and she things it looks great ( plus she gets props fromt he boys in her year for having a sick looking bike  >:D )

So it had to be done... I had to build something that looked as much like Matt's Nomura with a budget of £150 ( my wife thought that was a bit over the top ... see what I have to deal with  ;D )

... and so was born... the Dyno / Nomura ... or DYNOMURA

Issy's bike looked like this a year or so back but was tiring a bit ... so its time for the switch

Stripped it down, got the angle grinder on all the brake lugs and then is into the homemade spray tent for a coat of aluminum.

...more to follow  :)

ED209:
I HAD to start the build right... and the one thing that I couldn't skimp on was some Landing Gears... just wacking stickers on the old forks would have been wrong... it took £40 out of the budget but it was worth it...

I was a bit concerned about the flange on them but DiscoStu said they'd be fine with an FSA Pig headset ( which he then supplied for a tenner  :4_17_5: )

...so off to Dan they went and back they came a nice Cherry Red  :smitten:

I knew I'd be getting parts from all over for this so heres a quick breakdown of whats been got so far...

( thanks to all the RAD Members who have helped - its only by paying decent rates stuff that its been possible at all )

James Voivod... the original donator of the Dyno frame
Del... custom decals being worked on now
Steve Firebird... LG decals and a frame pad in the making
SBD... powder on the forks
DiscoStu... the Pig headset
pkripster... Landing gear forks
Brummie David... gold wheels - finally getting them this weekend
MarkyMunn... brake lever and chain ring... AND re-covering the seat in brown suede  ^"^
NortyJoff... MX1000A rear brake
...I also got the tyres, cable & grips from people on here but I can't remember who yet... sorry  :)

Got a dodgy looking Redline chainring off ebay for £8 and it's stripped and polished up a treat.

Got some VP450 Foot Jaws from Retrospect

...its coming together

ED209:
More pics of Matt's build here... I never get bored looking at it  :)
